Something that I feel could have really helped EIB would have been a throw grenade command you could issue to your fire/assualt team. It wouldn't need to be a complicated key command. Just hold down the team order button until it becomes a target over an enemy and puh the grenade key. (Just like the assualt command)

As I understand it, everyone in a small group thowring a grenade before charging an enemy was common practice among American infantry.

interview with pitchford...Very interesting interview...In this part he is talking about trowning a grenate...

Now we can expand beyond that a bit for people who want more control.
For example, imagine you're holding down the command button and aiming
the command ring. Then, before you let go of the command button to
execute the command, you press the jump button. When not issuing a
command, the jump button would cause Baker to jump. When issuing a
command, the jump button now has the context of telling your squad mates
that you wish for them to take the fastest path towards the location -
even if that means exposing themselves by jumping over walls. This
will cause guys to leap over the cover they were hiding behind and race
towards the objective you designated.

That concept applies to the other player actions, such as "throw
grenade" or "crouch" - you can imagine how when these actions are
applied to the context of a squad command that they affect the order
that you intend and how the squad responds to that order. Issuing an
attack command with the grenade button added in will, you guessed it,
ask your men to hurl explosives into the enemy position! It's really
cool stuff, and it's still super easy to use and it isn't even required
if some users don't want to fiddle with it.

It sounds like a very simple and sophisticated way to tell you squad to throw their grenades... -Does that mean your squad will, quickly pop up and throw the grenade, throw the grenade from cover without looking, or just stupidly stand up and lob it at the enemy????????

IN the first two games you could give you're squad the order "to attack" the germans. Now you get another option, "attack them, and use a grenate"'. I think it will be very easy.

For example. There are sitting some germans in a house with a MG. Than you could give them the order to attack the house and drop a grenate. That would be cool.

Maybe like 4 times in a mission or so.

they would probably (i stress the probably part) have finite grenades, but the grenade call would be a good edition. too many times have i come across a large number of close-knit germans and found that i have no more grenades. in that situation it would definetly be more efficient.
