Hi folks,

I just finished the game in veteran mode, that was quite fun.
Now I started the authentic mode and what should I say, I like it! These red and grey ballons everywhere .. that was way too easy.

I like to shot with iron sights, especially the M1 or K98.
But I have a problem when in cover mode, cause there are no iron sights, your rifle is on the side of the screen and because you have no crosshair, you have to shoot blindly and get your target in the middle of the screen. That's not realistic, if I'm in cover I will look through my iron sights and won't have my rifle somewhere next to me.

Is this "feature" on purpose or can it be fixed? Please!

It would be so much better if there would be iron sight in cover mode.

But at least they should rework the camera when aiming in cover it happens alot that I see the helm of Baker more often then I see the german enemys ! which drives me nuts !

This is driving me crazy! What is "authentic" about not being able to use sights? It is impossible to hit anything from a "dug-in" position because your are looking down on your weapon.

You have to remain in either a standing or crouched position, while hiding behind a wall or other object, enable the sight, and then fully expose your body to get off a sighted shot.

Doing this, you can get through most levels on authentic, but there are some (the one where you have to kill the patrols armed only with a pistol comes to mind) that are almost impossible.

I love the 3rd person view when dug in but agree that an iron sight in cover mode would be the icing on the cake for the authentic mode.

They should have just had a realistic 1st person view with crouch low all the way. Such situations as the silly picture above is one reason why. No one sees a feet from behind themselves so that their own bodies get in the way of their view!

Ludicrous.

Solution to the 3rd person feature for Dugin:

I have noticed when dug in that you can zoom in a bit more by pressing your ADS button, which is useless on Authentic still.

However the Scoped Gewher 43 when dug in when you pop up is in the useless (hip mode), but then when you use ADS button you look down the scope.

So the solution is simple, make it so every weapon when pressing ADS key in dugin position AimDownSights.

I think this is a must feature for the game, could we have a patch please.

You know you guys could just take a piece of clear tape put it in the middle of your comp screen and then take a marker put a dot on it and there you have it, authentic mode with cross hairs, game is patched.

I think your missing the point of Authentic, we don't use Crosshairs...

It really would be great if Gearbox would patch this problem. It sucks having to uncover to use the iron sights in Authentic Mode! I get killed a lot more than I should when trying to get the drop on 2 or more Krauts.

authentic..and 3rd person mode...somethings not matching here

would prefer that you could lean out of cover from 1st person mode instead of this 3rd person ****
im currently running through first time on veteran and im going to try the authentic when im done... guess im gonna do it without "dug in" mode.

are you in cover if you duck behind a low wall but doesnt use the dug in option?
