same Q about vista64..

but if this is a sticky shouldn't it have more than just 'required' specs, what about supported hardware like logitech controllers, xbox360 contorllers, ocz neural impulse doodad.. does it support regular lan play etc etc

and what could this game need in sp3 that sp2 cant give? doesnt affect me on vista sp1, but i'm sure to a lot of people in my country wiith limited internet downloading sp3 is a few hundred megabytes that could be left on the internet..

Hi,

Just to wanted to let folks know that I am playing on medium/low settings - started at 800 x 600 - then went to 1024 x 768.

Texture quality - medium
Shadow density - medium
shadow detail - low

My specs:

Windows XP SP2
PIIII 3.4 (single core)
2 GB DDR2 Ram
Video - 256MB DDR2 Nvidia 7600GS ( AGP 8x)
SB Live Audio
19 inch flat panel.

The game runs pretty smooth and overall game play is pretty good. I haven't noticed any major problems or real slowdowns.

No doubt the game will shine and is really best played on better systems but at least I can enjoy it.

Awesome game so far !!! Smile

Cheers - jg1234

Did you not read the requirements on the box?
the game needs a shader 3 video card, your X800 is only a shader 2 card.

I wouldn't try. I have:

Windows XP
Athlon X2 4800+
2 GB RAM
nVidia 7800GT

and it runs dog slow on my system.

Is this a common problem for BIA games or for all other high specced games?

It`s not the game that is the problem, it`s the problem of the one who bought the game, for not checking to see if it meets the system requirements.

I beg to differ. My specs are

Windows XP
Athlon X2 4800+
2 GB RAM
nVidia 7800GT

In my opinion that meets the specs, but I can't play because the frame rate is so poor that I can't hit anything while in intense combat.

And what about all the guys who wanted to buy this game, but don't have those specs. "Tough luck" is a pretty harsh thing to say. My system is NOT a low end system by today's standards - it's about middle of the road. I predict BIAHH sells poorly because Ubisoft didn't want to spend the time to make the game scalable for lower end system. They just want to port over the X-Box 360 assets and leave it at that.

Just bought this game, unfortunately I didn't read the min. requirements properly so when I play the game it's slow & crashes after a while. DOH!

This is what I have:-

AMD Sempron 3100+ (Socket 754)
Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT
1Gb RAM
Windows XP Pro SP2

I'm guessing it's crashing because of the processor speed (or lack of)? If I buy an AMD ATHLON 3200+ chip, obviously this would improve things, but would that be up to the min. requirements?

thanks, Martin

No, it's not dual core. The system reports it at 1.8GHz but I'm sure it should be 3.1GHz?

I've now turned the graphics down to 800x600 and it's running better but still crashes after I've been playing for a while.

Sempron 3100 is a 1.8GHz processor. Not much you can do with that. Don't even think they sell new processors with that socket anymore? Altough never used AMD so not that knowledgable about them.

Hi Hasselhoff08,

I am also really surprised I am able to play myself.

Maybe I just got lucky. I do see some slow down here and there - but still playable at this point.

I am halfway through the game so maybe it will slow down a lot if I get to really intense levels. Not sure - I'll post back if I do.

I have read and understand the official requirements, but from past experience usually the listed requirements aren't accurate. Here are the specs for my laptop:

Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz 6MB Cache
4GB DDR2 667 RAM
Nvidia 8800M GTS 512MB
Vista SP1 64-bit

My laptop can run CoD4 and World in Conflict maxed out with good FPS. I know the requirements say a 2.6GHz dual-core but will a 2.5GHz make any difference?
