Is there any estimated timeline on release of official MP info? I haven't seen anything and was just wondering if they are still looking at 32 slot human servers, this will be a important selling point for our clan, seeing the flop of MOHA we are looking for a good WW2 replacment for COD 2.

I know this is directed for Tennessee but a quick answer would but no, theres no schedualed time line for release on MP info Gearbox seems to release info at random.

basically. MP info could come at any given time. could be tomorrow or it could be next year.

As far as I know, they are still planning to have 32 human players for the multiplayer. However, Gearbox has been really quiet regarding multiplayer, saying that it would compromise the originality of their multiplayer component if they released information too early. Some aspects(nature of the squad based mechanics, etc) of their previous title were kind of copied by the competition prior to their release, so Gearbox doesn't want to show their cards until they are closer to release.

No problem, it's been a while since I've posted anything. Here's a quote from Randy Pitchford that further explains the situation.
quote:
Hi,

I'm going to disappoint you in that I'm not actually providing an update about multiplayer. I'm actually providing an update about the lack of updates about multiplayer

At one point, we had planned to talk about the multiplayer game at the German game convention. We decided not to do this for a number of reasons that I can't go into here.

We will talk about multiplayer as soon as we can/should.

We're very close to locking in a launch date. That will affect the PR and marketing strategy which will affect discussion of multiplayer and a bunch of other really cool things we haven't talked about yet.

Try not to make me feel too bad about us having to change communication plans about multiplayer... I want to be motivated to make more posts in the forums, not fewer

Thats basically the same thing EA said with airborne they said it was a huge secret, turned out that huge secrete was no dedicated server and due to the "Airborne Experience" i am now finding myself weary of pre oredering a game or rushing out to buy when it first comes out, without first seeing all of the mp info.

Well that's also EA. Gearbox actually cares about the quality of their products or at least give that impression.

I have to say I agree with you on this one TT, I believe Gearbox DOES care about the quality of their products unlike EA, however that being said I am still going to wait until after release of HH to determine a purchase or not. I was not at all impressed with the MP element of the first game and never bought or played EIB because it was the same, the MP of HH will be a central focal point for purchase with our clan.

Not a bad plan. I thought the MP for the previous games was great for split screen with a good friend, but I didn't really like it so much online. I think the move to human focused MP(that's the point of MP anyway), will be a good change for the series as long as it's balance and not too easily exploited.

i thought it would be cool if they had a co-op kind of like halo's, where your friend takes on one of the characters in the game, like let's say player 1 is baker and he controls baker's squad, and player 2 is hartstock, and he controls hartstock's squad, and that way, you could play the campaign together and make the battles on a larger, more cohesive scale. anyone else like this idea?

Agree That would be a great idea.
