I noticed that in the BIA HH game scenario discussion from Gearbox that S/SGT Matt Baker was said to be a Recon Squad Leader. He is actually a Platoon Sergeant in charge of three Recon squads. It seems someone in game development messed up that description.

i don't think baker is a platoon sergeant, he utilizes an assault squad and firing squad. since he is now part of the recon unit he has access to specialized weapons like bazooka, machine gun and radio operator. special weapons squad is considered a third squad but it doesn't make baker a platoon sergeant, only a squad sergeant with a special weapons attachment unit.

Well, although Baker is a staff sergeant and should be, by rights a platoon sergeant he has been put in charge of a squad.

This happened regularly in the airborne because of the amount of men promoted after campains so a platoon might end up with 3 S/sgts.

He is a squad leader. The squad is made up of three teams.

You are probably confusing the teams for squads, and the squad for a platoon.
