yeah, just knew it. Drove over to Best Buy (again) and no stock, getting three in though(!)So over to Future Shop, nothing although the board at the front door says its release date is Oct 4(!)So yet again, another release date has come and gone..

I got it in the mail this morning. Gotta love em' FedEx guys. My friend just went down town to pick up a copy. He went to EB Games, Future Shop and Best Buy. Aparently he gave up and went to pick up some milk at walmart and saw a guy dragging a kart out of storage and it was right there. So he picked it up and went though the self checkout. Its funny it had a large sticker on it saying "Do not Shelf until Oct.8th"
So some stores will release it a day later. Some stores are to lazy to even put PC games on there shelves. I Remember when I first whent to get Crysis the day it came out. I went to EB games and I asked the counter guy and he was like. "For the PC? I dont think we carry PC games...I dident even know they still made them." So he checks out back and hes like. "Wow there are alot of Computer games back there. I guess we should shelf them." Its retarded I never shopped there ever again. There PC section is a corner self. Like 10 games. Those EB games employies love to pretend they know everything about games. They just go on GameRankings and say that the game is good and buy it.

BTW: Im in Ontario. Often Canada gets the short end of the stick when it comes to North America/USA release dates.

^^yeah, got it already and played maybe 2 hours. I really really tried to like the first 2 installments, but somehow couldn't quite relate to the mechanics and the controls.

This one however is superbly executed (being a n00b and not wanting to dislike it, I'm playing on novice). I haven't found a bad thing to say about it so far even though I have seen some folks whining about the FOV being too tight. Increasing the FOV however simply detracts form the immersion by making the view more of a wide angle perspective as opposed to the in-your-face atmosphere that the default FOV gives.

There are lots of cinematics....and I mean lots. This adds to the story and overall immersion IMO, but I'm sure there will be some folks that consider this as stocking-fillers.

I like the cover system which is reminiscent of vegas (oh boy, I sure hope this forum doesn't sink to the abysmal level that their forum has with almost every poster slamming the game as well as the company) and the healing system is also very much the same. Graphics are very nice and the colours are extremely vivid. Quite a lot of gore by the way....half heads missing, guts spilled out onto the ground etc, but it's not possible to dismember (or not that I've seen).

I like the fact that you also get to do single missions without your squad members and have to scour through buildings taking out jerries.

Very nicely implemented all in all (so far)....performs nicely at 1650*1050 on a 8800GTS, 2 MB RAM, P4 with everything on high.

Yeah, I got it to now. I live in Holland Rotterdam. Well, all I can say is: "pppffffhhh .... FINALLY !!! Long wait but it will be great!! And I would like to thank Gearbox for choosing the setting of Market Garden in Holland of course. As I can hop on a train and be there in like 2 hours, as for most of you guys will have to take a plain :-).

I got sick of driving back and forth and dealing with the big boxes (Future Shop and Best Buy) and ordered through Amazon.ca Originally tried with Amazon.com and tried to order the limited edition, but they won't ship it to Canada. Maddening!! So I had to settle for the regular version as they didn't have the LE on .ca. So, now I'm just sitting back and waiting to hear from Amazon to tell me they've shipped it. Anyone know what their track record is on shipping? Maybe I'll actually get it before the next one comes out. In the meantime, could some of you lucky people give us a little inside info on whats different with the controls?
