When I first bought this game I had an NVidia Geforce 8400 GS, which sucked. Last week I upgraded to an 8800 GTS 512, and the game runs much better, however, I think it still has room for improvement. I get a framerate from around 45-60, which I can live with. However, what annoys me is when I make a sharp turn or look down a long street, the game gets a little choppy. When I am sprinting the game will lag every 10 seconds or so. So basically, the game doesn't run smoothly on a consistent basis. I'm a little disapointed, because with the card I bought I thought I should be able to run this as smooth as silk. Any suggestions as to why this is happening? I can run Call of Duty World At War and Assassins Creed with everything on max with no problems, so I don't see why not this game.
Specs: Intel Core 2 Duo 6700 (2.66 GHz) 2 Gigs of Ram. EVGA Geforce 8800GTS 512 Windows 7 Ultimate RC1
I'm not an expert by any means but the game wouldn't run at all for me on a 2.66ghz processor with 2gb ram so I upgraded to a AMD dual core 3.1 ghz and 4 gb ram with a Nvidea GeForce 9500GT graphics card and it does everything it says on the package and has never crashed. I think it is worth every penny to upgrade your PC for this great game!
Yeah, I figured I need to do more upgrading, when I got this comp it was not a gaming computer by no means, but its getting better, slowley. And yes, this is a great game!

You need to be fair here. If you run the game on a release candiate of a brand new operating, then you can expect such issues and I'm saying this as a professional system and network engineer for over 21 years. The fact that you CAN run other games without issues has nothing to do with it, since it's not uncommon for a RC or windows 7 driver issues to pop up in only specific games.
My youngest son happens to have a GTS 512 and has none of these slowdown and it never gets sloppy (XP Sp3) and neither do I experience any of that on my machine that has Vista SP1 X64 and a GT8800.
