Maybe it is for the best. It would be awesome if you could use those but they would most likely slow down gameplay unlike the machine gun or the bazooka.

I could tell that my parents hated me. My bath toys were a toaster and a radio.

Could have been the coding was causing too much of a delay. I would bet though that you'll see it in the next game in the series, which supposedly is going to be set in the Battle Of The Bulge. I do believe mortars played a part in stopping the German advance.

yea it isn't official but theres been no discussion by the devs about mortars or radio men. although the radio man will most likely play a part in HH it doesn't really mean we will be able to , say, call in a fire mission using him.

anyways its all beyond me at this point. naturally it could go either way. either they have been withholding the info about it to surprise us, or its just been booted out all together. im guessing we will have to wait till the game comes out.

yea i didnt really care about the radio man but i wanted the mortar teams since you almost never get to use real artillery in any fps games of any kind(except crappy ones or online only)

it would be likely that the radio and mortar crews
have limited ammo espacially the radio becouse it would be easy as hell to win the game then.

I think the radio team would have at least been good to be used for storyline moments to report things and use it throughout the game for those reasons and such.

The mortar team would have been awesome to use to flush out a group of soldiers or general softening up and other things.

There'll definately be a radio man in the squad, but it's unknown(starting to look unlikely) whether or not he'll have any direct gameplay purposes. I remember reading though that since Baker's a part of a recon squad now, he'll be receiving alot of his briefings on the fly, which would probably involve radio communication.

But in Market Garden, I thought they couldn't receive artillery support anyway as they were too far behind enemy lines.

Mortars would have been OK, but I imagine they would be quite confusing to use as I think you need a spotter?

Hopefully like some else said they will be in the Battle of the Bulge game, would be inaccurate to leave them out there.

I want the game to last a long time also, but not because we have to wait for the support of these units to go into effect. I don't want this game to be run'n'gun in any way, but I do want somewhat continuous action.

I find the more complicated a game is for me the more I enjoy it, but I'm also the guy who would rather read the manual on the x86 Instruction Set than watch TV in his spare time. What do you think I'm will be doing in an hour watching TV?

It has been said by my fellow programmers that I'm more like an old school hardcore Computer Enthusist than a programmer, I suppose I know EXSACTLY how an computing device works.

~They took the DEBUG tool out of Vista, that just proves thier scared someone else might make a better O/S than Vista, as it is about the only program that can acess and disassemble or assemble an boot strap on the spot.

When i heard out that HH diden't have any poit of direction arrows in it i was realy worried. But then again,it is beter for the game,When i spoke to MR.Antal he said that a level could take from 30min. to 2 hours easaly!!,you have to find you oponet and kill him.The new A-I is a HUGE change compaired to EIB.The act like a group of die hard Normandy Vetrans and they sure fight like one!!.
