After reading the review, which I understand is one mans opinion.

The same concerns I,"had," were reconfirmed by the reviewer.

Lack luster MP enemy AI having little to no tactics.

Nothing new but rinse and repeat.

I intend to let this title wait on release day and I'll wait for reviews from the people who are apart of this forum.

Sad really, the reviewers opinion is the exact same feeling the game gave me and I only watched it being played. Even the MP seems a bit repetative and lacks diversity.

Even though I don't play the game anymore COD 4 is a shining example of how to set up a MP that will last. With most games anymore, especially with consoles online capabilities becoming more and more popular, the single player is only 1/2 of what makes the games popular and have longevity.

I understand the Gearbox is trying to make a strong single player experience, I fear they are missing the point. What comes after the single player is completed? Naturally it is the MP, and arguements can be made that SP is more of what the consumer is looking for however this couldn't be farther from the truth. I mean ask the 1.3 million COD 4 players that were playing the MP of that game at it's peak.

It also puzzles me that Hells Highway was in development for as long as it was only to draw reviews such as this. I believe Randy made the remark once that "Gearbox doesn't make games to make money, they make money to make games" funny thing is I thought those two things went hand in hand either way. The more money you make from a game the more resources you have to funnel into making the next game bigger and better.

I still think Randy is a visionary for his dedication to historical accuracy and authenticism, however IMHO I think he allows that vision to cloud his judgement towards keeping Gearbox's finger on the pulse of consumers. The lack of a solid diverse MP after 3 years of development is really quite shameful. You get one gametype with 6 whole maps, not even the most basic and popular gametypes are present.

I think personally I will be waiting to see what Treyarch is gonna bring to the table with COD 5. So far I have heard that they will be adding all the goodies that made COD 4 MP so popular, along with a 4 player co-op and a solid single player experience and this is all being achieved in 2 years from the release of COD 3.

no game is perfect.
i can't imagine any magical point in the future when all games will be perfect.
why waste time complaining or why care what one person's opinion is about the game.
mutliple perspectives on a situation only add up to a partial truth.
enjoy the game for what it is and come to your own conclusions.

Well I didn't exactly enjoy the game but I did come to my own conclusion, which is not to waste money on something that seems so short changed.

Mutliple perspectives on a situation, such as this, don't add up to any truth. They only add up to multiple opinions.....

Why is everyone so disappointed about the mp?It has NEVER been the good side of BIA.It was just put in the game to let it be playable longer,i only played it like 2 times in my whole life,i always played the Skirmish mode, but they did not implement it in the game Sad

First of all I don't think everyone is disappointed with the MP, personally I am but I cannot speak for others. I can tell you why I am disappointed....

1 gametype
6 maps

this is pretty pitiful for a modern game....

Just because MP has NEVER been the good side of BIA doesn't mean it has to be a continuing trend. There are a great deal of players out there that enjoy the MP side and the numbers are growing exponentially.

With only a strong single player experience a great deal of people will play 1 to maybe 3 times and then throw it on the shelf, but a strong, fun, diverse MP will keep the game going strong until the next release and that will keep a developers games fresh in people minds which will assure returning consumers IMO.
