This is the first game that I've purchased by Ubi where I havent even gotten into the game and the Vid card temps spike up to 75+!! wth??
I'm worried that this game is gonna fry my vid card/system! Anyone else have this prob? |

The Unreal engine seems to be fairly demanding on hardware. If you play Medal of Honor Airborne, you'll notice the same thing.
The fan noise can be annoying, but as long as it's keeping your GPU under 80 C, then you should be ok. If it's bothering you, then try lowering the game's graphical settings. Lowering the resolution and disabling AA should have a substantial impact. You may also want to pull your video card and blow it out with an air compressor. . |

Thanks VG10!
I'm particular 'bout keeping the system clean since I lost a laptop due to monster dust bunnies (lol!) Started playing with my EVGA Precision and Riva tuner to see what fan speeds keep the game at nominal temps and now it's running just peachy! I did a delete reinstall as well and strangely, after the first level or so, the temps seem to have stabilized somewhat. Almost like the vid card is getting used to the awesomeness of the shading in the game! |
