Hi Everyone,

it's been a while since I last checked Far Cry. Only yesterday did I play Motto 4, and was very much impressed by the quality. It was really cool to have new weapons in the game.

That made me wonder... What are the favorite maps/mods (single player) being played?

(I have played Motto 1 to 3.)

The Oilrig one is good (the name escapes me). All those stars reflected in the water!

This maps I liked so far are:

  • Chemiste
Nice map, alas missing something like mission updates that would guide you.

  • Destruction
Very huge and laggy map. But interesting use of heights and cliff roads.

  • Devils Coast v2.0
Awesomely re-done map. Everything about this map spells professional. Beautiful design and landscape, clever missions. Many many details.

  • Inferno Trilogy

  • MA3
Large island map, with interesting new "hub" concept. Free roam to find keys.

  • Outpost22 v1.1
One of my favorite maps. Probably one of the very fist really professional maps.

  • Railway v2.0
Huge map, with tons of details. Many hours of play-time, with a railroad system added as additional eye catcher.

  • SP Dune

  • Matto4 v1.0
Latest set of maps from Matto. A must play.

  • Mischief in Paradise v5
Another one of the very professionally made maps.

  • AEon's Canyon
My own map features none of the very professional gimmicks you find in the maps above. But even after almost three years I think it is one of the very few maps that really tried to push what you can do with terrain and vegetation from a strict visual point of view. (Hope to get beta 2 done soon).
