in the beta manual it says that you can use the lyer painter to customly paint textures onto the map. but when i go into layer painter none of my textures are there can someone tell me how to do this?

you need to create the textures layers and surfaces first, if you have done this already, go into any terrain option and back into layer painter to reset the texture list.
