Hi,
I'm trying to modify the jeep in a multiplayer game. I edited the fwdvehicle.lua file in scripts.pak with a higher value for "engine_power". This seemed to work great, but when other players try to use it, it still has the regular speed. I'm playing on the server, but it has the faster speed when I drive it. What do I need to do so all players get the faster speed?

Is this a Dedicated server or a hosted Lan game?

All clients may need the altered pak file, however, it is NOT advisable to alter the standard scripts.pak file in the FCData folder. You need to create your own pak file with just the altered files.

Create a folder structure like this

Scripts/Default/Entities/Vehicles/fwdvehicle/lua and pak that up as zzFastCar.pak and put that pak file in the FCData folder on the Server and clients.

Please remove the zz pak file if you attempt to connect to another server online as you will be PB kicked if you dont.

This is an internet game, but it's not a dedicated server. I'm just creating the game via the multiplayer menu, not the standalone option. (not sure if that's what you're asking.

Anyway, I'm making the mods right in the scripts.pak file. I'm not making a map myself, just tweaking some of the various physics values. For some reason, other players don't see the faster speed on the jeep. I also set the water depth parameter on the jeep to something different. They are able to use that parameter, but not the faster speed.

Any ideas?
