Hello all,

I recently bought far cry and I have had no trouble running the game on ultra high settings, but when I try to open the EDITOR.exe file, I get the following error message:


EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
Attempt to read from address 0x00000008
The memory could not be "read"

Does anybody know what could be causing this problem?

If you bought your FarCry from Direct 2 Drive read this http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/273109392/m/9681046155

If you didnt, in your FarCry folder you will have an Editor.log file, post the last 30 lines of that here as its more useful that the Stop Error you posted.

Hmmm... I bought the game from ubi.com. I found an editor text file, I'm assuming its the editor log you wrote of. Here it is:

Damn sry, goto into your system.cfg file, which is in the FC folder and change the log_verbsity to 8

The run the editor and paste the last 30 lines of the editor.log file.

Ok thats from after changing verbosity to 8, runnig editor, getting error, and saving the error file.
