anyone else having trouble downloading from the farcry maps website... ive tried getting the unoficial maps 1, and the slugworths map pack, and both say the file is missing and i cant get them?

I did a quick download test of the files you mentioned, no problems.
Send me an email or PM with the specific error message you are getting and the URLs you are trying to download and I'm sure we can figure out the problem. |

While it would be nice to know (oh and PM sent) why this happened.. its not a priority, as i found a place to get the maps i need to play on the servers i want
 , but i would still like to know what happened |

I just want to say here that the Far Cry Community Maps site is still THE best and most comprehensive site for getting such files AND chatting about them. You can even use it for walkthroughs if you get stuck by looking at the comments board for each map.
No one else puts it all together like Slugworth does, from a top notch maps and mods list that's constantly updated, to a comment board unparalleled with all the best mappers and modders taking part, to the nice looking and easy to use forum, this site has it all. EXCELLENT JOB SLUGWORTH!!! You have helped keep the Far Cry community thriving.  |

 Excellent post... For those that dont know, Slug also does a tremendous amount for the community behind the scenes, and has been an invaluable help in the configuration and ongoing admin of the EU Community Servers. Also with the exception of those that choose to donate, he funds the www.farcry-maps.com site out of his own pocket. If you have been DLing maps recently and havent contributed, there is a paypal link on the main page, I'm sure he would appreciate your contribution, no matter how small. Incidentally those that do contribute get a larger DL allowance  N1 SLug and Long live Far Cry Maps |
