I tend to agree.Go away and forget about SoW,occasionally check out an 'update' but otherwise find something else to think about (il2 modded or Rise of Flight)

I was looking forward to Kots - or Rof, as it's now called - until I read the following passage from the website....
This is the era of the first air heroes full of reckless courage trying to prove superiority over the opponent. War — where pilots knew the opponents by name and showed respect to the enemy worthy of knight tournaments. What a shame! It`s kinda hard to get excited about something that we may not se until 2011, even with all the talk of what SOW will do. So much can change.
It`s like hearing that the milk maid is going to walk 30 miles to milk the greatest cow with the sweetest milk which will take her hours then spend walk another 30 miles heading back with the pails. Just as she gets within 10 miles of you, and you see her with your telescope, she trips and spills the milk all over the floor. I guess what I mean to say is... Best not to count your chickens before they`ve hatched.  "DVNO, 4 Capital Letters, written in Gold..." ? |

Oleg should have just heavily modded IL2 instead.....and released it in 2007/8 Blehhh. Personally I couldnt give a monkeys about all this super duper pressure front moddeling etc. Give me a better GUI, better sounds, a better FMB, tweak the AI with more options on what we can make them do in the FMB, more detailed airstrips with lots of "Life to them", better graphics and an update the damadge model. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "You can't blow the smoke from such a majestic stogie in just anyone's face. Where you guys get 2010 or even 2011 now is beyond me. No surprise that the biggest supporters of mods seem to be the biggest detractors of SOW. |

Please, weather is one of the most important aspects of flying and one of the things that give civilian sims like MSFS or X-Plane a big realism edge. Honestly with that kind of thinking we would still be flying FS98 or worse.  |
