I am not advocating this, in the least, but I offer it as a example of the fear that is being stoked by the vague language of the Baucus bill:

these kind of postings slowly start to wake a diffuse fear in me.

That page is tantamount to fear mongering.

The more this bunk gets published the quicker they die off as the new generations just don't get the old hates even when they mimic their elders........It really is nothing more then Klan banter.

Obama's election made idiots hoard guns and ammo and made bullets really expensive, so I guess he has been bad news for gun owners, though good news for the gun and ammo industry.

I agree that the cited article is based upon speculative supposition and therefore logically unjustified. But is anyone at all concerned that the Democratic leadership is insisting that the bill be brought to a vote before anyone has had an opportunity to actually read it? Since when was it decided that the conduct of government be attended by this sort of opacity?

Blitarski, HayateAce, hasn't this question already been discussed in a previous thread? Is there any evidence that this bill is being treated any differently from any other in terms of prior publication? If there is, then clearly this is a cause for serious concern, but can either of you find some source to confirm that it is?

If you can provide evidence for a genuine attempt to stifle debate, I for one would support any outcry against it. Democracy should be conducted in public.

Or is this just another attempt to delay the bill through misinformation - there seems to have been a great deal of this too.
