Does Anyone know if “The Red Barron” Movie has come to any American theaters yet?
Is it expected to, or will we have wait for the DVD?

It was released in Germany early April,I dont think it even got a wider European release I certainly didnt see it being advertised,my guess is straight to DVD.

I feel I may experience the English language version a bit distracting. I hope the DVD will have a German voice track.

I am not sure you want to watch it, gents. I intended to, but after finding out the "preview" of this movie was during a weekly movies event here called the "ladies night"; I passed on that one.

Current IMDb rating is 4.9

It'll be anyway interesting to find out why.

I thought it was better then Flyboys...

It all depends on what you like... it had some romance, and drama... and it had some air combat.

If you want an all action "mans movie" then you will be disappointed. Their are no "boob' shots, spitting, catchy hero "tag-lines" or Heavy Metal sound track and the movie doesn't play out like an MTV beer commercial. Basically it would never make "summer blockbuster" of the year. But if you can imagine a movie similar in tone to "Flyboys" but better made, then you might enjoy it. I found Flyboys to be made with very little thought (stale dialog and cliche plot twists) and I thought that "Der Rote Baron" was a much better crafted movie...so it will all depend on what you like.

I can't stand "mans movies" unless they reach a ridiculous level and only then can I watch them but only as a joke. Stupid enemies is a major turn off for me.

Yes, I can't think of anything more torturous than Rambo.
