Don't get me started on recent Hollywood's "remake'o-philia" !

A few days ago I had one of the biggest facepalm attacks in my life when I found this pic:

Please. This is becoming really old, there's so many historical figures and events that would make great movies and yet we have to settle for 'lame remake 6'. In fact everything nowadays feels like a jumbled recycled mess. There used to be a distinctive feel to each decade, now it's just the decade of recycled materialistic high tech ****.

I had the same reaction U_S.

On a related note, I heard rumblings of a FootLoose remake....I'm not even going to Google it.

To second Metatron:

Two scripts one ONE TOPIC that have already written themselves:

Greg LeMond becomes the first American and youngest World Champion.....is promised support to win the 1986 Tour de France by Frenchman Bernard Hinault, who reneges and fights him to the finish....takes a shotgun blast to the chest....then returns and wins two more times, including the closest win in TDF history by 8 seconds on the final day!

The other is Lance Armstrong. A bit less drama, but still a better story than a Short Circuit remake.Again, just 2 possibilities in the tiny cycling corner of the world.

I assumed every one knew. Guillermo del Toro is directing The hobbit. It's set for a 2011 release.

Well I can't help you with the patience, Aimail, but at least you know it's coming.

You always could go with the Rankin/Bass 1977 animated version if you can't wait.
