A friend of mine brought me back a very large Hershey bar from America. For 'milk chocolate' it tasted very dark and malty compared to the British version I'd been raised on. It wasn't unpleasant, just not what I was expecting - made me wonder how much sugar Cadburys use in their product, and how bitter Hersheys dark/plain chocolate would taste to us over here.

Hershey will do in a pinch, as well as Nestle'. I prefer any milk chocolate though. Droste chocolate is probably my favorite milk chocolate. Mom always made sure to put one of those "apples" or "ornanges" in my stocking at Christmas.

When my mega sweet tooth is acting up, I gots da have me a Cadbury Carmello bar, the bigger the better.

You can have no idea just how hostile aircraft can be until they come to your area...
Aircraft which strafe or bomb your positions should be regarded with suspicion, if not deep mistrust. Aircraft which bomb and strafe your position and wear a red circle should certainly be regarded with deep mistrust. In fact, the deeper the better. A six-foot-deep slit trench is an ideal place from which to mistrust them...

I wager pretty bitter. Hershey's Special Dark is one of my favorites for when I want some chocolate but not something super sweet. There have been some chocolates that I've had that I couldn't eat because they were waaaaayyy to sugary for my taste.

Some tasty stuff here 8)

I am partial to milk chocolate while my wife likes the dark chocolate. While that typically keeps us from raiding the others' stash, in an emergency- dark is better than nothing for me Smile

I used to like Hershy's bars, but I remember a day years ago I noticed the taste had changed. It was at such time I started reading ingredients (and I was but a child) to discover they'd started using Vanillin (fake vanilla) in their recipe. Since then I tend to avoid chocolate with Vanillin. If a manufacturer can't use good ingredients, what's the point? It's like going into an ice cream shop and ordering a vanilla cone- if they can't get vanilla right, then they likely don't do other flavours right either.

A thread I can sink my teeth into Party Hat

Cheers
