the girl is seventeen, while not legally a adult, she is of the age of consent.

if she wants to become pregnant nobody can stop her. not her mom , not her dad, or anybody else.

to blame a daughters poor decisions on the mother shows no class.

who knows, despite the odds being against it, her and the father and the baby might live happily ever after.

who are we to judge.

who says its not a sound decision. people used to get married at that age all the time.

true these days its usually not wise, but considering shes going to have more support than most teens get, it may well work out.

you can have the best upbringing in the world and still make poor choices. all parents can do is point the way. children aren't slaves, you can only control so much of their lives.

That movie looks hilarious! I'll be going to see that!

As for Obama and the corrupt, mob controlled political machine that Daley is in charge of, all I can say is, yikes. Someone has been watching too many gangster movies from the 30's. I've lived in Chicago for the past 14 years and the type of city government mortoma is descirbing isn't here, period. In the last 14 years I've seen this city get better and better because of Daley, not in spite of him. Obama and Daley didn't see eye to eye on a number of things. Inferring Obama is corrupt because he's a senator from Illinois is just silly. Obama's interest in raising taxes can't hurt the economy any more than Bush did when he lowered them (for the wealthy and large corporations).

Back to Palin. Her daughter of course can get pregnant whenever and how often she wants to. That's not what people are criticising Palin for. She's drawing criticism because she's part of a party that is super conservative and is constantly telling parents who have pregnant teens that they are bad parents for letting their teens act "immorally". Being part of a sepratist group is not illegal, but it is completely contradictory to the republican rhetoric on what being a "patriotic American" is. All the things that have come to light about Palins past aren't really that big of a deal, it's just stuff people deal with throughout their life. The major difference here is that these unflattering things about Palin are in direct opposition to the republican party's core values. That's the reason she's catching all this s**t

Contrary to initial reports, Now Vice-President candidate Governor Sarah Palin was never a member of our party. We stand corrected. Todd Palin was registered as a member but never participated in any party activities aside from attending a convention in 1994.

Now, Obama sat through 20 years of the ravings of the Rev Wright and is associated with an urban terrorist, Bill Ayers, from the 70s and 80s.

Ayers' contacts with the 2008 Democratic Nominee for President of the United States, Barack Obama became controversial in the 2008 United States presidential election. The two served together on the Woods Fund Board from 1999 until Obama left in 2002. Ayers had other contact with Obama as a resident of Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood, hosting Obama's first fund raising reception in his first Illinois state Senate campaign in 1995, appearing on education panels together, and donating $200 to Obama's campaign in April 2001

From some of what I have read, I understand that if one thinks of themselves with Libertarian then they may like Palin. She does after all think that people who live in rural parts of Alaska and people who live in larger cities like Chicago should have the same gun ownership rights.

While in a perfect world that logic works, in the real world where gun crime is a crises in urban areas it makes no sense at all. This summer Chicago had a program where residents could come to a location and turn in a hand gun or rifle, no questions asked, and get $100 vouchers for them. They got hundreds of guns, which effectively reduced the number of potential shootings in the area.

And the fact that Plain brings religion into the Iraq war talk:
http://www.upi.com/Top_News/2008/09/03/Palin_says_Iraq_.../UPI-66481220457877/

Yet another right-wingnut trying to make this into a religious war. That is so wrong it's criminal.

McCain was complaining about the media being too rough on her, when any thinking person would see through it all to realize she's at least as scary as Bu$h.

My ,02 cents

Angry Blue Guy

Try Googling: Clinton sexism and then Obama race card, and see how many reputable references to Republicans and specifically John McCain you find.

Unbelievable. Must be the same crowd that equates Bush with Hitler and shamelessly edit Bush speeches on Youtube. Angry Blue Guy
