Funny, you are being nostalgic ALREADY now?
"The king is dead, long live the king" doesn't really work, because the old king is still allive, and the new one, hmmm....haven't left the delivery room yet.


Anyhow, purely on fictional basis, I will be completely torn between

A) SoW:BoB 6DOF features, a narrow selection of beautiful aircraf, complex DM/FM, the new ground details running at 1 FPS on my old rig

B) the vast selection of maps & aircraft in IL-2 runing with an acceptable speed.

As soon as I get a reasonable PC, or when online game gets totally broken, I will say goodbye to IL-2, and put the fond memories on the shelves, never to look back again. Life moves on, and so do we. This move brought IL-2 about, and the same move phases it out. Salute to the creator and all contributors.

If SoW came out tomorrow, I'd still play IL-2 for a while. So many planes that I'd have a hard time giving up, and my computer would most likely be brought to it's knees by SoW.

Oh, I'd still play IL-2 for a bit. The plane I'd miss most in SoW is actually IL-2 itself. I always felt she was the strong point of the sim, and flying her is a delight!
