I know in the UK motorists are a very easy target when it comes to the government imposing stupidly high taxes on fuel and road tax in general, particularly considering how bad the roads are and that public transport for those outside of central london is utter gash and not a viable option.............but this really takes the wee wee!!

According to the Ministry of Justice, the age old principle of 'the loser pays' has been costing the government too much money.
You'd think in such circumstances the reaction would be to prevent false charges in the first instance thereby preventing costs from innocent persons, but then I guess thats too logical

well then they wouldn't be able to punish people at all...God forbid that!
Unbelievable! I this happens I think more people will just accept the charges against them,as it would probably be cheaper than proving yourself innocent.
and the police looking for any opertunity they can to bring a motorist to court (even with little to no evidence what so ever, knowing they will lose) in order to generate extra revenue and hit the inevitable govt targets the police will now have.
