At the time of the buddha the average life-span was 100 years...now decreasing by one year every hundred years....and it will reach the low ebb when the average age is 10 at which time girls will marry or have children at the age of 5...
After a brief period of mass-killing the survivors will start to live moral lives again and human life-span will then gradually increase over a long period to its high point.....where the average life-span is approx. 100,000 years and girls will remain single until the age of 5,000 years.....a time of almost no suffering and virtually a heaven on earth...
as the life-span starts to fall again ...when it reaches 40,000 years the next and last buddha of this aeon will take his final birth.
