My family used to have all of the issues from probably the late 30's to the late 50's. (I think my parents stopped subscribing because we got a TV around that time.) We used to read all of the WWII issues, and the one story that I remember reading about was the issue that reported about the Japanese Zero that was found tipped over in Alaska. When I used to read these magazines, it seemed like I was transported back to the times that the magazines were currently reporting about. We also subscribed to 'National Geographic', and I somehow managed to keep a number of them from the late 30's - 60's.
