One of the saddest things ever to occur. Even at the time she made greed or selfishness, a good thing and promoted it. I`ll give her credit though that she actually got me interested in politics. Before that I didn`t really care.

This has been a very interesting thread to me since my own perspective is from the other side of the ocean. We were going through our own reinvention at the time (the malaise from Vietnam, Nixon, Carter, 70's stagflation, etc.) so we would read about the tumult in the UK but sort of equated it to our own troubles. Apparently it was nothing of the kind. For us in the USA it was primarily a morale and attitude adjustment (not a system overhaul) while for you folks it was nearly revolutionary! I truly had no idea it was that intense. You're a tough nation and I have no doubts that the changes, for better or worse, will be sorted out and you will be a stronger nation for it. I have confidence in you
