If MS was smart they would put some guns in FSX. They have planes already.. but still.. I cant see paying $29 for one fighter/bomber that cant shoot when I can get the googobs of what I have here right out of the box .. and I wont even mention some of the ... ehem.. enhancements....

You are right. The...er...enhancements to IL-2 have removed much of the advantage FSX enjoyed. The Slovakia map which comes with IL-2 evened the playing field quite a bit. There are some steps being taken to inject combat into FSX in ACCELERATION, but it isn't enough.

So, just for ****s & giggles, I reinstalled FSX, both service packs, and the Beaufighter. The plane looks great, but for some bizarre reason the canopy is fogged over. I can barely see the propellers from the 3D cockpit, and no chance of seeing anything else. Not sure what the cause is, and it’s not happening with the other planes. Most likely it has something to do with my ancient PC and video card. I’ll post a pic later when I get the chance.

the B5N is flyable in CFS-2.

but I never play this sim. I play CFS-3 and really don't like it.

other interesting flyable aircraft witch we don't have even as AI in CFS-2 is the G3M. BTW, both the B5N and the G4 and G3M have a torpedo gunsigth in that sim.

Oleg could had create the sino-japanese war if these aircraft where flyable. we already have the KI-27. a flyable KI-21 would put the pilot with the main figther and bomber of the IJA air service from the late 1930's and early 1940's.

the same for IJN air service with the A5M and the G3M.

I don't know nothing about the Chinese air force, but at least a I-15 would be needed.

This happened to me with the AlphaSim Hampden. Is this happening only when it is raining? If it is, it is the same glitch the Hampden had. There is a fix, but I've forgotten it!

I was flying clear skies at noon, and I tried a night time take off as well, same thing.

I'm thinking that either my card can't handle it (NVidia 5200 128mb), or my settings are off.

Despite that, I like it.

P.S. Something is definitely wrong in the way it appears on the presentation screen. Something must be screwy. Maybe a corrupted copy or something.

I'll try reinstalling the plane files as well. This was a fresh install of FSX Deluxe with both service packs, hopefully no issues with that.

I hope you can get it sorted out. If you find a specific cure for opaque glazing, let me know---I have that Hampden to fix.
