This gem is free and it is far better than most payware. Has a variety of versions from VI to X (thimble nose radar, fin extension, varieties of camou, etc.). Cockpit is beautiful: Sight swings aside, reticle light switches on, turn around and you see ducting and interior structure. Detailing on the Hercules engines is incredible. Labor of love.

The FM reminds me exactly of the Oleg Beau---always feels like it might fly right out of your grip if you don't watch out. There's practically no freeware airplanes for FSX, and some are crude. This looks and handles like quality payware.

I think I need to go ahead and reinstall FSX and just play on low details, just to give this a try.

I like stuff that shoots even more. One downside for FSX for me....and believe it or not, despite many days of tweaking it, never really ran well on my PC

That's the T.F. (Torpedo Fighter) X---it has the four belly cannon---look closely. Try Gozr's tweaks for FSX---they are some pages back in the FSX tread linked below. Also, I found getting FSX ACCELERATION and Microsoft VISTA blew my FSX out of the doldrums. With a quad core CPU, you should be able to blow FSX out of the ballpark!

Ah, yes. I do see the cannon. Thanks for pointing that out.
As far as tweaking, I did much reading and did everything Gozr suggested and still ran terribly. I imagine that is why I don't fly it anymore. You are right though, this machine should run it very well.

talking about FSX, I would like to make a question about it.

is there a B5N or B6N (both would be perfect ) add on ?

I love these aircraft, and I can't use then in IL2 because they are not flyable.

Have you tried ACCELERATION, Choctaw? It gave FSX a good bounce and fine-tuned it a bit. That's too bad about the troubles with FSX. It gave me a great deal of grief until I blundered into a good place with it right now. I can understand why you would give up on it. Having gone to Vista for it, I'm in so deep I can only keep going onward!

I wish there were B5N2s and B6N2s for FSX, Wildnoob. I never found quality models of either in FS9, either.
