Just caught this.

The whole point of the Friday night CO OP thread was to encourage everyone in the IL2 forum to join and fly as members of this place - Even those of us who don`t like each other much. I find the `i don`t want to know, remove it from my sight` attitude from the minority extremely childish. We`re trying to keep the forum alive, not slowly kill it.

Perhaps we should make it an open-sticky instead?

I think they are full of it. They are like a homeowners' association "you can't put up a basketball goal in your own driveway, because others have to look at it" or " I can see over your pool fence from my upstairs window, and I am offended at the swimsuits you wear".

The post was about unity for the forum members. I guess they want to be considered separate from the rest of us. A higher class, if you will. We were intruding in their "clique forum",
and we should stay out.

The hell with them, I say. Please don't delete or edit this, as they shouldn't be over here reading this anyway.

I hope to see more members this Friday night. I think it has been quite successful.

This attitude and the attitudes of others in this thread are hardly in the spirit of unity.

To be frank, they are offensive.

Come off it Joe you got your wish,did you really think we weren't going to tell folk what happened to the orginal thread? they have every right to have an opnion on it also,you coming in to this thread stoking the flames dosen't really help,we should all just move on regardless.

Believe it or not, I am actually interested in the coop nights and I was thinking about trying to join. Monterey, if you had read my post in the movie makers forum you would realise that I love this sim and get great enjoyment out of flying with friends.

However, there have been many false accusations made in this thread against myself and a good friend of mine. If people have a right to make these accusations in such an offensive manner then I have a right to speak in defense.

Nevertheless, I will not stoke the flames by deliberating further over the specific offensive accusations.

I see, joe. I had no idea you were one of the complainers. I did see the other forumite`s complaint which I felt was a little unnescessary. Well, the thread was designed to bring the co op server to the attention of all members of the forum, not just a particular sub-section.

It was not designed to stay up forever, but to garner enough folks to make it worthwhile continuing. It has only been up for about 2 weeks.

Still, it`s been moved, so that particular problem is dealt with.
