Just played Forza 3 at a mates who managed to get it early.

Best driving phsyics yet. It hands down beats every GTR game, rFactor, iRacing and GT5 Prologue. Seriously, it's like going from CFS2 to IL2.

The physics are nothing but fluid, the other games feel canned in comparison. Driving an F430 GT round the Nurburing is a seat of your pants, on edge almost rally esque experience in how the car reacts to the undulations of the tarmac.

Stunning, just stunning. If your used to fast gt racing games don't be put off by the early easy to drive cars.

I really enjoyed some of the racing games about 10 years ago, but since then, the genre has lost its luster for me. Not because I don't like the racing games, but because the quality of those racing games has really declined.
This title does look good. Will it be available on PC as well?

I doubt it Forza 2 was an exclusive xbox 360 title so chances are so will Forza 3
mind you if it is as good as Aimail101 says then its worth getting the console after all it only the price of a mid range graphics card( well a slightly more expencive one) Big Grin

I have the XBox360 (for my sons), but I do not have the dexterity to work those darn console controllers.

Big Grin

I find the controllers quite easy to use and you cannot play a driving game on a keyboard

That wheel looks pretty good. If Forza3 is everything I am thinking, I may just get the wheel for it.

ill be surprised if its as good as people are saying it is , the 360 has only so many resources & sims are heavy on the clock cycles

for example , tuning in FM2 is just ripped from the original xbox Forza , but i have my fingers crossed the hype is real this time

& its a buggar that i cant send over my thousand paints & 100 million but i guess it means everyone starts off on the same page again

It is. Physics feel a fair bit different to forza 2. Load times are huge though and it comes on two disks.

Debatably the overall best driving title in history.

I`m renting an eXBOX for this alone. Won`t be able to drive the thing with a wheel, but I`m not bad with the pad.

There`s gossip about an option that can set the POV for the driver. I would be very happy to change the default kockpit POV.

Currently I`m thinking of getting the Ltd Edition version, though I`m not so sure if the 10 exclusive cars are worth it (I don`t have LIVE).

But as to FM3 having better physics than rFactor or GTR I`m skeptical.

well for a console racer its damm impressive

the Ai on hard are actually reasonable , it runs very smooth & im impressed by that because graphically its a good update

the default cockpit view is changable , how much i dunno but there is a video of it on youtube

the exclusive stuff for the limited edition is very worthwhile , the classic car pack sealed the deal for me

it does have a couple of bugs , in a few months people will start getting the tuning sorted - & a good portion of the game wrecker kids will have moved onto the next new release

The only thing I don't like so far is the seeming lack of penalties for skipping parts of the track where there isn't gravel or thick grass.

I think RWD cars have a little to much traction and maybe the brakes are to effective but the feeling of weightlessness is a joke in GTR. Never feels like your driving a 2000lb machine. Forza 3 nails that.

well FM2 penalised RWD something bad - its only the best drive configuration afterall for controllability & to have FWD cars as good as they were was off

& disagreed about the brakes , or more to the point the ABS . its definantly less effective than FM2's braking . i suppose they want the leaderboard to be all assists off at the top . sure its ultimatly faster, but the ABS is the one assist i always allow in FM2 .

Never use ABS, but yeah perhaps they've detuned the assists a little as in FM2 the top times were posted with all assists on.
