Out of all the planes flyable in IL2, wich one was in service the longest for any country after the war?

Example, the Me-262, retired in 1950.

Thanks

If you allow the 2 seat trainer version of the P-80 to be included in your question then it is still in service today with the Bolivian air force as the AT-33.

Here's a bit of ironic history for ya Owl:

Israel flew 109s against Spitfires.

A-26 had a good run (retired from Colombian Service 1980):

P-51s and Corsairs fought each other in a conflict between Honduras and El Salvador (I think) sometime in the 60s (once again, I think).

Accidently, there was a discussion at ww2aircraft.net of almost exactly the same topic:

Enjoy! (btw, Owl, those forums are a good source of info for a curious person like you.)

If you include AI-only aircraft, there are quite a few DC-3/C-47s still flying commercially, I believe.

I just saw a couple of websites that say the C-47 is still in service with the South African Air Force.

They are always yelling at me and calling me a worthless troll and banning me. I hate that place.

Oh... didn't know that. But yes, although there is some knowledge in those forums, there are also some arrogant individuals with 10000+ posts who act like they own the place, and continuously spam (messages with smilies only etc.), at the same time laughing at innocent questions right on topic... Nuh uh

So in a way these forums are a lot nicer ones, here the old chaps are rather polite and civilized Smile

Basicly what I am looking for is, a very heavy all-weather aircraft, used after the war in IL2.
