It means nothing. It's just the "us or them" rhetoric that you hear from simpletons who do absolutely no good for "their" country.

quote:
Maybe.. perhaps... at some point over the next few decades we might actually be able to get back to being a government Of the people... by the people and for the people.. and maybe we will actually be able to get some real news.. instead of the entertaining inflammatory infomercials we see nightly on Fox News.. and MSNBC as well for that matter.. which is just the other shoe on the other foot...
It's a nice thought, but it's not going to happen. The government was long ago co-opted into the "good old boys" club that is our current two party system. Polarization is in the best interests of both the Republican and Democratic parties for a number of reasons, but mostly for maintaining their power bases.

The only thing that could possibly change the tone of American politics is the entry of a viable third party, but both the Republicans and Democrats have done and continue to do all that they can to prevent that from ever happening.

I don't understand it when people hate big business and corporate America but love big Government. Are they not the same thing? By the way, when Fox says they want to take back this country, they do mean from big business, corporate America and those that buy themselves into power having done nothing more then be lawyers or wealthy. I find it more and more everyday that people are both tired and frustrated with both Republicans and Democrats. I for one see no real difference. They are both in it for themselves and for power. It needs to end, Washington is broken throughout. Fox does a good job saying what people want to hear. Government sucks and will try to control your lives, your too stupid to understand but trust us, we know. History tells us this is true.

Don't get me wrong I absolutely despise companies such as Walmart and especially insurance companies. Those that lead them are nothing but evil in how they treat their employees and their charges. They are greedy, but so are those that wish to steal from them.

At least FOX asks more in depth questions than, "Gee Mrs 0bama, where did you get those cute shoes?"

What shoes you ask?

"Remember when Michelle Obama said the following? How fitting we are reminded of those words while she is at a food bank wearing $540 shoes. CHANGE? Yes, these people were hungry Marie, I mean Michelle … Let them eat cake while wearing those designer sneakers.

“For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country … not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change.”

Does anyone else quite see the issue of volunteering at a food bank and dealing with underprivileged people while wearing a pair of designer $540 sneakers?"

I really don't understand how this guy can send me PMs lambasting me for being "closed-minded" while making posts like this.

Political threads here can border on the absurd. If I didn't know better, I'd guess that some of the people here were in middle school.

Attaboy wood, keep your partyline blinders glued to your head. Don't peak out, you may see something.

If you weren't so myopically enslaved to the demlibs, you would be able to see that this adbomination is absolutely NO different then any before it. Worse in fact.

Hope and Change my eye.

It is said that a revolution is a healthy thing every now and then.
It is hard to imagine a revolution happening today in America, but I really don't think that it could be out of the question.
Is a revolution inevitable in the future? I don't know for sure.

Wow sneakers are a hot political topic? Must be a slow news day.

Its funny how something as trivial as that even makes it on a news ticker, but Im just an outsider looking in.

Who on earth said THAT! Healthy for who? Eek

Anyway. I’m always being reminded by my (USA) wife that there was a revolution on the W. Atlantic shores in 18th century. Followed shortly after by a Civil War. Another one in 21st century? Surely that’s too much.

I just glad FOX is exposing this administration, and their ratings prove that people are waking up. Couldn't ask for more.
