Take it back from whom? Corporate America? All the foreign investors that our government allowed is to become beholden to? The immigrants (ain't gonna happen.. that ship has sailed Holmes... Se habla Espanol?) Who? The Dems? Well.... isn't it their country too? The man in the White House.. ?

Maybe.. perhaps... at some point over the next few decades we might actually be able to get back to being a government Of the people... by the people and for the people.. and maybe we will actually be able to get some real news.. instead of the entertaining inflammatory infomercials we see nightly on Fox News.. and MSNBC as well for that matter.. which is just the other shoe on the other foot...

Was "Take back our country" said by Hannity, or Beck? They are the crazies of Fox news. Don't watch them. Keith Olbermann is the crazy of NBC, so don't watch him either. I guess you could call them professional trolls. Don't feed them.

I'm not going to stop watching NBC or Fox simply because there are crazy commentators on each channel. Just don't watch those commentators.

We need the government to protect us.. from us.. Just like we need the police.. speaking of police.. I think that things like police, fire, ambulance, military.. and yes even health care should be run and paid for by the government... healthcare-profits.. it just seems obscene to me.. so if .. we can't make a profit.. ie you can't pay... then like my XO 99th_Patches says... "You gon diiiieeee.."

and that is not far fetched.. my wife's sister's husband.. died just that way.. of cancer... that had he had health care or had he been able to afford the early treatment and diagnosis.. he might have been able to either live longer or even survive it..

That is obscene.. an d I really think that the profit motive should be removed from something as basic as health care.. we can just look around and see what the profit motive has done to the food industry.. Many dont realize it but we are just one major unforseen disaster away from the entire planet starving.. because all thos hybrid seeds that Monsanto sells? Well they are hybrids.. better yield.. more resilient.. better able to withstand the rigors of shipping.. and unlike the way that the plants were designed.. you know.. with each tree bearing seed after it's kind... these dont do that.. and this has been going on for hopw long now? So what happens when we get some catastrophe that shuts down Monsanto.. and companies like it..

Having just returned from vacation in Egypt I can say that no matter how bad the right wing nut jobs complain about Obama (or the left wing nut jobs complained about Bush), the U.S. is far better off than countries like Egypt which really are controlled by just a few people. The government there really does have a strong hold on political power. Many in the country are very poor with little chance of getting out of poverty. The government subsidizes food and electricty so people survive, but few prosper.

I just ignore all the hot air that spews from FOX. In my opinion most of what the talking heads say is only meant to try to increase ratings and has little to do with the truth.
