Nobody is disputing that the weather has been 'shaped by other factors before we came along'. It is the scientific understanding of what processes have driven these changes that makes us better placed to understand the consequences of increased CO2 emmisions etc on the global climate.
You didn't fully read my earliest posts in this thread. I admitted that none of the Alaskan data proves there isn't any AGW. But what I did say is it gives a reasonable person pause to think it's the first time in 250 years that any growth or advancing was seen. Either you're "cherry picking" from what I wrote or you didn't fully comprehend it or failed to read it at all. |

Mortoma, the article you linked is about Alaskan glaciers, and one below-average summer there having unexpected results, that is all. It is entirely consistant with 'AGW' (anthropogenic climate change) for (a) yearly local fluctuations to occur, and (b) the climate to even get colder on average in some places, the predicted warming is a long term global average. A reasonable person should probably 'pause to think' after seeing the article, but I'd suggest that it is unreasonable to think that this proves or disproves anything. I had read what you had written earlier - consider this from your first posting: quote: Yeah, the title says it all.
