Took me a second, the video is of the family of the kid.

After review is this a situation where the little buggers hoaxed the whole thing from the begining rather than a misunderstanding leading to the kid in question hiding from fear of being punished or some such thing?

If they purposley hoaxed this from the start I have to chuckle a bit although if they were my kids it would be off to the woodshed (if you get my drift).

Regardless I honestly feared the worst and am glad the boy was found healthy and intact.

Right, a video of kids that I doubt get into trouble for much of anything at all.

At least the law enforcement officers and equipment of Larimer County got out for some fresh air and exercise today.

Such a hoax.

I don't think it was an intentional hoax by the family, the boy is six and had been grilled by the media all day. He most likely meant that he had heard the reporter people making the accusation that it was all for a show. A six year old that hears a reported say that it was all for a show, then asked on camera why he did it, he would probably say just what he said thinking to himself "why ask me that, you already said it was for this...".
