Did I say 100?
I meant he said 1000! Being British is about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for a Belgian beer, then grabbing an Indian curry or a Turkish kebab on the way home, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American shows on a Japanese TV. |

Haha actually I really want an old BSA, I like the classics. And of course I want a Ducati or Bimota Tesi Yeah, but i dont think even a Ducati could do that. Im having serious De JaVu right now. Freaky |

British all the way ... I was seriously looking at a restored early 70's Norton Interstate recently (850 commando with a bigger tank) immaculate condition and cheaper than a similar capacity second hand jap sports bike as well. As for 100mph ... geez Owl my 20 year old xj900 shaft drive touring bike with luggage racks was still good for almost 130 mph on a long enough straight and could pull over 120 mph with a pillion passenger if she wasn't to chubby. Though most chicks get nervous at those speeds, the exception being my niece who at 15 climbed off after a 120mph + run and first thing she said was "geezus christ that was fun, does it go any faster ? (a) Think (b) Type (c) Check It usually works best if you do all three, in that order. |

Mmm, this thread is really progressing, I must admit to liking bikes, had a few over that years, Yamaha RD125, BSA D7(173cc) Bantam, Honda C90, Suzuki GSX 250-E (the original Katana's offspring).
the GSX would touch a real 100mph (115mph on the speedo) @ 10,500rpm The claimed 'Ghostrider' might have said 1000mph, but only in context to how fast a stripped down & turbo nitroused/methanol boosted bored out Suzuki Hayabusa feels when accelerating. As for percieved opinions of the conceptual universe relating to humans, we only know what we know and have learned, or what we have been unable to yet prove as incorrect. As a (not 'the') sentient species of this dimension, we could/would most likely be amongst the younger ones. We don't know what new theories, science laws, elements, knowledge etc, we will gain, lose or mis-interpret in the future. For all we know, most of what we think might be correct could be say 70% wrong, but until we learn/know otherwise, we can only believe our opinions and convictions. I think I have burdened you enough with my exotentialism (spelling?) |

They are mathematical theories after all. What we are able to know and perceive relies heavily on technology that is able to detect and substantiate those theories, but they are still only theories.
i just like seeing that other folks and leading physicists have thought of similar ideas, so if someone suggested i needed to take some meds, first they can try and swallow a few hundred text books written on the subject. I can't help but think of Planet of the Apes, right now. In that film, most of what was known about the technology of the past was kept secret by the apes in charge. I can't help think what has already been discovered and forgotten. Everyone i've ever known who rode a motorcycle has crashed at one point or another. Most were very minor, like tipping over as they tried to peel off, but the worst of them involved a guy falling off his speeding bike above 70mph. He broke his leg and got scraped up a bit, but his bike ended up under a semi, which he had swerved to avoid hitting. I think bikes are cool and all, but you'd have to be pretty stupid to ride one above 100mph. |

I wish I had a MiG-9, oh how so I'd like to fly her.
Fly her to school, fly her to the park, land in the street, and make the kids that think they are so cool driving in a loud Honda civic emberassed by screeching past them at 500 mph. Oh how awesome. Thats My thought for the day. Being British is about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for a Belgian beer, then grabbing an Indian curry or a Turkish kebab on the way home, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American shows on a Japanese TV. |

Today's question:
How would the police catch someone in a runaway MiG-9 or F-104? Would they send F-15's? Being British is about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for a Belgian beer, then grabbing an Indian curry or a Turkish kebab on the way home, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American shows on a Japanese TV. |

Here's my advice:
Write everything you want to. Let it all out. Fill the white box with text. Then instead of "post" hit "delete" |

Now now, let the kid express himself, I think it's a good thing. __________________ There she goes There she goes again Racing through my brain And I just can't contain This feeling that remains |

Don't take it so hard.
Owl is entertaining to an extent. I wouldn't want him to disappear completely. BTW, it's what I do sometimes |
