I installed Ghost Recon earlier today onto vista.
Immediately after the installation I tried to run the game. I immediately got an error message saying:
"Please insert your original Ghost Recon CD-ROM, select OK and restart the application"
The disk is my only copy, so what should I do?

You can try running it under compatibility mode.
You could also get a fixed exe so you don't need to insert the CD.
I have had it work on Vista with or without a CD. Luckily, I didn't even need compatibility mode.

What is compatibilty mode?
And secondly what is a fixed exe? And where would I get one?

What version of GR are you trying to run? GR, GRAW or GRAW2?

I'm guessing OGR since the message he posted that the game gave him doesn't include AW. Fixed EXEs can be found at game copy world.com Remove the spaces since that is evidently a swear word.
