Hi,

I have a huge problem. I tried running the Game under Vista and when I started the Game even in the Menu the mouse randomly stopped or slowed down. I tried playing the game and I experienced a massive drop down to 2fps every 3 seconds or so each one lasting about 3 seconds. Then sometimes it woks fine for like 10 seconds or so.

I reinstalled my PC with XP and the newest Drivers and still had the same Problems.
I tried seting everything as low as possible but even that didn't help.

I have a ATI X1800
AMD 4400 X64
2Gb Ram
Lots of Hard Drive space
and my PC is way over the minimal requirements.

Please help.

later
Chris

1 drivers drivers drivers, try different ones the newest beta might not be better try elder ones too
2 stop unnessary programs running background.
3 which anti-virus do you use, some slowen your PC a lot!
read the tweak guides on the GRAW section of these forums.
Good luck

Sorry guys,

English and German are both like my mother languages so I got mixed up.

Here the translation ;-)

Lol, maybe not High-End ^^
But it for shure is good enough to run with the lowest grafic settings.

Thanx anyway for the advice. I'll try installing an older driver Version. Actually I don't even have a beta driver installed. Didn't even know there was one out. Also I only use them for checking if they run better because they usually do contain quite a lot of bugs

I terminated all unnessesary processes.
That includes Anti-Virus software.

I have also checked all running processes in the task manager.

Usually I'm familiar with these things but in this case I'm completely stuck.

(BTW I also had a driver replacement installed (not from ATI) which also didn't work any better. This way I was also able to tell you precisely that my frame rate was above 40fps and then about every 5 seconds or so dropped to 2fps.

Thanx again for all the help. But I doubt that the error occurs due to the driver Version.

Greets Christoph

(sorry again for the German ;-) )

Guys, have similar problem!
My PC is Intel Core Duo E6420,
ASUS NVIDIA 7900 GS (256 MB)
RAM - 2GB
SATA II Hard Drive
In addition I've got all up-to-date drivers and directx 10
What's the problem with this game?! I played so many games with ultra requirements. They all ran smoothly. What's wrong with GRAW2????????

Apparently the same thing that was wrong with the first GRAW.
Was playing (with graphic and sound problems) before I updated my video drivers. Now the game just hard locks on the cut scene to the first mission and the training one.

Have question is the gamecheater program from punkbuster or gamespy.

No the anti-cheat is in house, meaning the game developers put it into the game.

No punkbuster.

haha fun, I can read german and English alike so I would have reacted anyway. Have you solved your problem yet? I had issues with a soundblaster software looking for updates eating up cpu power (even with xp creative has still to improve its drivers for the x-fi cards)

Well I've checked the task manager for programs using up too much of the CPU but the max is at about 5% cpu usage caused by other programs when running graw2.
