I just bought the GRAW limited edition. When I try to install it I get an error message (-6001), telling me to empty temp files. close all running programs and check for my internet connection. I did all that and even went to the store and exchanged the game, but still can't install it. I feel like calling UBI games and insult there mothers. Can any one help install this ****? Thanks.
I have the same problem, here's a screenshot of the error message: After emptying both IE-temp files and windows/temp-folder I restarted the comp to make sure that no programs where running an launched the installation. Same message again, and I'm pretty sure that my internet connection is working, otherwise I wouldn't be posting right now.
I was able to install mine by deleting the content inside C:/program files/installshield. Make a copy of the file before deleting its content just in case you need the original.
I had to use the install.exe from the demo to install this game... Next making a account wasnt ez 2...now the patch gives me this error Installation Error message (-6001). When installing the new patch..... any help please?......This game sucks ... back 2 BF2

Hi all, And one more is joining the crowd, as above, I also havent got an "installshield" folder in my "comon files" folder. also, cant find an "0701" folder on my entire pc. Does anybody got an idea or was it just a great waste of money for me?
loog at the GRAW section of this forum and perform a search there are at least 100 threats about this topic, and almost all with the solution in it. Sorry for the harsh answer, but re-tyoing the answer gets boring by now.
SOLUTION: This InstallShield error indicates a corrupt version of InstallShield is installed on your computer. To correct this issue, simply delete the following folder from your computer and attempt to run the installer again:
If this fails to correct the problem, we recommend you RENAME (not delete) the entire C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\ folder and try again. You may rename the folder to anything you like, but we recommend something similar to 'InstallShield-old'.
