Hi all

Basically after I reformatted (forgot to back up saved data - so lost all progress ) I've reinstalled countless times but I don't get any sound from the game. I don't think it's driver related as other games play fine including Vegas 2 and in-game sounds is turned up but nothing?

Any ideas?

R6 Vegas 2 was an older game than HAWX. It may not seem like it would be possible that the sound drivers being out of date would cause it, but I would start there first, just in case. That we know it is definitely not the cause of it. If it doesn't work after the sound driver update, post your dxdiag info and we'll go from there.

Please post your dxdiag information.

To post DirectX Diagnostic information do the following.

1. Click Start
2. Click Run (if you are on Vista, click into the 'Search Textfield')
3. Type DXDIAG then press ENTER
4. When the DirectX Diagnostic loads, click the "Save All Information" Button.
5. Save the text file to your desktop
6. Locate the text file on your desktop and double-click the file to open it
7. Click on Edit
8. Click on Select All
9. Click on Edit
10. Click on Copy (make sure all of the text is highlighted when you click Copy)
11. Right-click into the text field of your forum post and click on Paste

sounds like youre trying to run hawx in hd try 2 speakers only
