Every time I try to exit hawx, the game locks up and I have to use task mananger to close the game. I have visa home premium 64bit, sp1. the game runs fine and only locks up on exit. I tried running as administrator and also dx10 version as well. no icon was made on my desktop during installation and so i click on the hawx.exe in the folder, is this correct?

It might be hanging up when switching between game and desktop resolutions. Do you have the game video resolution higher than your desktop resolution? If so, try adjusting this so it matches your desktop resolution or lower.

As for the icon for the game, this is a common issue with games on Vista. Sometimes you will not get an icon on your desktop. You can create one from the executable found in the install directory. You can also launch the game from "Games" when you go to the Start menu.
