Graphical Distortions occur aswell as stuttering, usually occur together.
By graphical distortions imean some water splashes, explosions and smoke break into white lines, kind of like a pencil sketch of the object. Ghosting occurs of the distorted objects CPU: Core 2 Quad Q9450 at 3 Ghz Chipset: Asus Rampage formula Memory: 4096 MB Graphics: GTX 280 Harddisk: Primary: 150gb WD Raptor Sound: Creative X-Fi Extreme Music |

It might help but we shouldn't have to and no AA at all looks worse than using DX9. My computer may not be grand but some listed here are top notch and should be able to handle everything this game can throw at it. Look at NaSHoOo's PC, he should be running everything at max and still have power to spare. |

Looks like its a Nvidia driver problem. There all 2** series cards apart from a couple.

I am getting the same problem, and I know i have a beast of a machine that can handle anything i throw at it. I am running the dx 9 version and have every thing max including AA8 and still get 100+ fps. But when I try and run a DX10 version i dont get anything but a unplayable game/unable to even run the test.

I've been having the same problems and the black screen too. I've sent DXdiag, the dump file and a system file. After a week I got an email telling me it sounds like a compatibility issue with 64bit Vista. This is a 32 bit game. They advised me to reinstall my video driver and update my DX10 files from the gane DVD. I have the downloaded version that I ordered from Ubisoft. Guess what's not in the download? DX10 files. I'm still waiting for an answer to that situation.
