Not sure if this is happening to a lot of people or not, but when running HAWX on DX10 I get ridiculous amounts of stuttering going on even though my average fps stays above 70.

In-game video test runs perfectly smooth also. Stuttering occurs when new units appear on screen, when explosions happen on screen, and particularly when I fire my machine gun.

I get no issues at all in DX9. But the game looks soooo much better in DX10 it would be a pity to play it that way...

Toning down the levels of detail make absolutely no difference at all. I can turn up every possible graphic option all the way up in DX9 and get butter-smooth gameplay. I have tried playing the game on minimum gfx settings in DX10 and I STILL get stutters...

My PC specs are as follows:

Intel Quad-core Q9450 2.6Ghz. OC@ 3.6Ghz
EVGA nforce 790i Ultra motherboard
EVGA Nvidia GTX 280 GFX card
4 Gigs 1600Mhz Corsair RAM
500G Western Digital HD
Creative X-Fi Titanium Pro sound card
Running on Vista 64 SP1

I've read somewhere that this issue is happening on nvidia cards only....
Anyone can help me out? plzzzzz

EDIT:
(I am removing a couple paragraphs written in a moment of frustration which was pretty much me venting about how upset I was. After having cooled down a bit, I realize it simply wasn't very constructive nor helpful. Although I still think Ubisoft deserves some critisism, I think they get more than their share in other threads posted in these forums. Thanks for your understanding.)

I had the same thing, try and start a game and when it "stutters" press ctrl+alt+del then it will most likely bring up the taskmanager, close it and re-enter the game then it should work.

Thanks for the tip on the beta driver. Unfortunately the result remains the same.

I looked up the driver and it seems to only address the SLI profile bug.

Was still worth a shot to try. didn't work tho =(

I get the same issue on my system, but i thought it was just dx11 issues in win7. I'm using the win7 beta drivers but i may have to try those vista ones made for hawx.

Core i7 920 @ 3.6ghz
12gb DDR3 1333mhz
GTX 260 OC'd 700/1500/2200mhz
2x 147gb 15,000rpm SAS in raid0
Windows 7 x64 b7000

Yes this particular issue seems to be recurring with nvidia GFX cards it seems. I've looked up the other posts with this similar 'stuttering' issue in DX10 and all those affected seem to be using a 200 series Nvidia card. Frown

Well not rly i got a 9800GT card and i get the same stuttering thing plus the dump file thingie in the campaign at random moments, weird part is it worked fine in dx10 once without a problem played about 14 or more missions in a row, then upon exiting the game and starting it again im having stuttering now and dump file problems, the dx9 version works good tho, but i kinda refuse to play this game at nowhere near its max potential

I stand corrected then. Frankly, I am somewhat relieved that people are showing up with the same problems as me.

The more of us that have this issue, the more likely we will see a patch or driver to fix the stuttering. I just pray its sooner than later.

I supposed I should be grateful to not be affected by the dump file error. at least not yet...

If your are reading this and you experience the same stuttering in DX10 please leave a comment.

what do you have for a system? since i did not see what you have. the only stutter i got wasduring the demo. it was that bad like you have in your vid, well not that bad but close.

i ran this game in demo and now the full version on a EVGA 8800gtx 768mb with XG182.08 gfx drive with stock gpu clocks but the cpu is a e6850 dual core @ 3.81ghz on 8gigs of ram on vista 64bit.

i get some slow downs but now the full version seem to be a little better then the demo. which isnt saying to much for ub i since they are not that great at pc games as of late.

but i do not understand why this game in DX10 is not even 1/2 as good as far cry 2 is in DX10 mode. i wonder what gives and who fell asleep at the wheel on this project??

come on fix the game, even though this will be on deaf hears. since i am a veteran of ubi forums, back from the raven shield days.

but this is just another beta that went to the customer once again. i wonder who long will it be before they drop this game and move on to the next soon to be drop game by them?

now that would be a poll to remember!!

Please someone pull your finger out on this one.
