Well, if you tell us what windows you use on the new pc, it would be much easy.

For Windows Vista systems, the profile data can be found in
C:\Users\[whatever your user login is]\Save Games\Tom Clancy's H.A.W.x\Profiles There should be no problem if you just copy everything the entire folder in your original system into the above location on the new system. However, if you try to copy individual profile parts, the new game will not recognize them There are 2 parts to the profile [profile name] [profile name]_0.1.525.keys [profile name] is the only important file you need. I think .keys contains the configuration information for user preferences since you can copy the complete David profile or any other profile you have into a new HAWx system and on start up, the .keys file is created. From what I can tell of the HAWx saved game folder, it appears that the profile_list.bin file maintains the information the game uses to find the indivual profile files above. Copying the old profile_list.bin into the new system will cause you to lose access to any profiles saved on the new system (i.e. replaces them with old ones). The trick to adding new profiles to your current HAWx system is to 1. Run HAWx and create a new profile, for example Dementor 2. Exit HAWx 3. Go into the HAWx profile directory listed above C:\Users\[whatever your user login is]\Save Games\Tom Clancy's H.A.W.x\Profiles 4. Delete the file that has the name of the nwe profile ... i.e. delete file Dementor and Dementor_0.1.525.keys 5. Copy the desired [profile] from your old system into the profiles directory and rename the files to match the new profile i.e. copy David profile, then rename it as Dementor 6. Start H.A.W.x and apply the profile and you should be up and running. Now you can take your profile and make multiple duplicate copies of it with different names on different PCs. This I learned while getting the "Complete HAWx profile" called David up and running on my PC. I've posted the site for the complete profile on one of my other postings, but you can also google "HAWx complete profile" and look for the blog which explains most of what I've posted here. I don't know about where the stuff is saved on XP systems. Someone else will have to chime in. |
