Yep hate to admit it, but mine is gone too. I was just about at Lvl 35... Ah well, I get to start over with a "patched" game... Will be awhile until I get back to MP until I rebuild my hangar. I can comment that the deadzone is much better but I still feel its still a bit too big so I will have to slide my deadzones for my stick in a bit and see if I can kill it altogether. That's all I can say about the patch so far. Sys. Specs. How did I know you were gonna get me with that  The thought crossed my mind for a second but frankly I liked earning the achievements and what not and well, I have a better handle on the game this time thru(Tho there are more than a few I will NOT look forward to having to do again...) I will be back up playing MP in no time I am perfectly happy with the planes I will have going thru the campaign once anyway(Frankly I really hadn't unlocked any planes outside the campaign that I felt I was missing anyway) I will also be able to track my MP achievements like "this many of this type" this time thru. So Im really not too broken up about it TBH. Sys. Specs. Okay..
After playing a mere 5 hours with the new patch I can safely say that it's a very small baby step forward, and 2 steps backwards. 1. Constant disconnects. 2. The deadzone option is nice, however, it never saves. I have to redo my deadzone and sensitivity option every time I start the game. This gets old, fast. 3. .dmp errors still around. 4. I still don't have the option to treat my Logitech Rumble Pad 2 as a gamepad, only a joystick. 5. Because it thinks it's a joystick, I have to press and hold "c" to be able to use the right thumbstick to look around in the cockpit, this isn't the case for the 360 controller, I'd like to be able to just look around without having to press a button. That's all I can think of for now, will update with more later.  |

Hi there! You may not want to hear this, but there might be a workaround until the DX10 issue is resolved. In your Vista Games Explorer, right click the HAWX icon and try running the game in DX9. You might even find you get a better frame rate. Plus, if your machine is smokin' hot, you can crank all the video setting to the max! Hope this help! so my settings.ini was read only, unchecking that option made it so my deadzone and mouse sensitivity options saved properly. Now it's just the constant disconnects from Ubi that are getting very annoying.

yeah i treid running dx9 already, with the new patch it wont run in either dx 9 or 10. its very frustrating. its like the patch locked it up.

Well, online game is totally UNPLAYABLE since 1.02.
"Searching... No servers found" when you leave any server (even lobby). Nothing helps until restart or waiting 5 minutes (you'll get "connection error" message and login page). If you're lucky and dogfight starts, you'll get connection issue soon. Of course no servers will be found after that. Then ONLINE button won't work after restart the game, maybe twice. So.. the game should be renamed to "HAWX: Try to fly" |

YEP AND ITS NOW HOW MANY DAYS LATER AND THEY HAVEN'T FIXED A DAMN THING TO FIX THE MULTIPLAYER PROBLEM, SURE WISH THEY WOULD HAVE WORKED THIS OUT BEFORE STEALING MY MONEY FOR A 6 HOUR ingle player campaign, even had it on expert the whole time and it sure seemed easy. Perhaps that setting wouldn't reset from easy mode cause I selected elite from the first level on, maybe some bug made it say elite but actually was easy level, man o man way too easy, no challenge just going through motions and watchin the odd clip.

Wow, somebody put a gun to your head and MADE you buy it? You should call the cops.  Maybe you should try HAWX then. It has 19 missions with 3 difficulty settings for each. Normal, Hard and Elite (no "expert" though) and it'll take more than 6 hours. Also there are other challenges to earn. Nobody knew it's unplayable peace of bug. I'm sure you don't play online if you talk so. ----- By the way I don't believe there are <10 online servers available over the world even if patch really hides full servers (it doesn't, I still see 8/8 servers). It makes me feel playing exotic game (solitaire, etc) online and I'm sure there is a bug somewhere. There're more solitaire servers available over the world than HAWX. It's strange and can't be so. |
