am i suppose to hear the computer and player voices on my headset?
|

you might have disabled the voice command, look at the controls menu and look which button is needed to turn it on again (I have a joystick so don't know that without taking a look) |

No option to unlock VIP planes anywhere apparently?

Not voice command
Im talking about the computer. My wingmen for example, I don't hear them talking to me when i see their image on the top left. I just found out that I have to set up my headset as my default playback device to hear them. This sux because I want to use my speakers... Im kinda being forced to use my headset since its the only way i can hear voices. |

I'm hesitant to buy HAWX mainly because of the joystick deadzone issue. Did the developers even notice the qualms people had in this forum about the deadzone issue in the demo? If so, why wouldn't they have fixed this for the full release? Or was it too complex of a problem to resolve, and now must be relegated to a hypothetical patch?
A poor deadzone really hampers the playability with a joystick, which I think is the best control method for a flight sim (even for some arcadey ones). |

What joystick do you use? Ive been hearing some Saitek ones are having problems.
My ATTACK 3 Logitech one has no problems at all. |

Its not a bug. Its a feature.
Creapy Joystick Controlls = Hard to Hit by Enemys. <--- Saitek X52Pro owner <--------------------> Death to the Deadzones! |

lol

maybe bc you are too noob to notice? or suffering from alzheimer? |
||||
|
what...? |
||||
|
our friend didn't notice the gigantic deadzone. |
||||

I own a siatek X52, dead zones make game unplayable. Very dissatisfied with this product so far, and the only reason is the deadzones. I will have to wait until all deadzones are fixed before I can play.

Vista 64 bit ultimate
Intel Core 2 Duo e8500 processor SLI - Nvidia GTX 280OC's EVGA 750I ftw motherboard. Installed on D:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X In game I have tried with AA = off , AA = 2x,4,8x,etc. I have User Account Control off now in Vista and it still doesn't work. 1st problem: It didn't create shortcuts in Vista or menu items. 2nd problem: When I goto D:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X and run HAWX_dx10.exe and I go to create profile and hit Apply the game crashes. 3rd Problem: If I try to put HAWX.exe in XP SP2 Compatibility mode and run it I can get clear into the versus, ranked, custom match, click search to find servers and then it crashes to desktop. So basically I can't play Multiplayer at all from I can tell. Any ideas? |

I have the latest vid drivers...that didn't help. I'm trying the latest sound card drivers now.
UBISOFT support , called them, they said they don't support anything newer than a GeForce 9000 series, I have the 280 and they said it wasn't tested with the game!!!! LOL, can you imagine, not tested with 260's, 280's, 295's, etc? wtf? |
