I need a hint. I'm through the color maze and stand before the new pedestal on the other side of the door, but my slate is note there.
Also I can't link from my home pedestal to the new one, because the symbol of the new pedestal does not show up...
Is this the way it's supposed to be?

Yes, you missed something very important.

Have a "good" look again at this new pedestal. (with no slate). There is a way to link back to the main entrance bubble.

Hmm. I linked back from the new pedestal back to the main bubble. But from there I can not link back to the new pedestal.

You have to draw the symbol you saw on the new pedestal, at the main bubble, and then be able to go there.

Thank you, that was the missing piece. I can't remember to have done the same thing with the other pedestals though...

I am guessing here that you have not played all ages because from memory, I know of "at least" 4 others similar situations.

1- In Tahgira when you cannot bring the slate up the ladder near the beginning of the age.

2- In Todelmer when you draw the space station symbol for the Keep.

3- In Noloben when you have to bring the slate on top of the big hut to open the Keep door.

4- In Lakidahn after seeing the two triangles inside the cage to be able to link in the cage.
