I've got stuck in DPL in that, on mission "Repoman" the action to drop the cars back at the garage is 'Joypad button 12' Not having that many buttons on my joystick, I've reconfigured all controls to be buttons that exist, or keyboard keys.

There is NO controller setting for button 12 anywhere in the 4 sets of controls, but the game still wants button 12 to be used, making it impossible to play this mission with a game controller.

I've posted to support, but they keep fobbing me off saying using a controller is not supported for this game..... So why's it an option???? Support say the only supported option is keyboard and mouse. Yes, this works, but it's not much use to me as I want to use the joystick.

Anyone know how to reconfigure this particular action to something usable when using a game controller?

I suspect that the 'Action /button' would be the button that you are after!

I personally use the 360 Controller on my PC (which automatically is setup) so I haven't really experienced that issue...

I would suggest that you get the 360 controller if you wanna play PC games with a Joypad

Because the 360 controller if the "official" PC controller now since Microsoft are the developers of both 'Windows XP/Vista' and the 'XBOX 360'.


And in all of the modern PC games you will get the advantage of it saying press A to do this an that, instead of press Joy 2 to do such and such

That and the extras such as Vibration and pressure sensitivity are also garunteed to be supported on any title which says 'Games For Windows' on the box! (thats some of the requirements if the developers want to use the GFW logo!!)

I would also suggest taking a look at these notes in the link below to see exactly what tick boxes the developer needs to fill before they can use the 'Games For Windows logo'
