Ubisoft bought Reflections from Atari in early 2007. A year has gone by, and no news at all.

I really hope Ubisoft/Reflections make an announcement VERY soon about the next Driver game. Print a preview article in a video game magazine, online through IGN or something.

Game Informer previews games that aren't released till an entire year later or more. It's time Reflections and Ubisoft give us something worthwhile.

Timing is everything though. Best not to release any news till after the GTA4 hype has died down, maybe in July, during the E3 show, whenever it is this year.

I hope someone at Ubisoft or Reflections is reading the posts on this forum. Let us know you're alive and aware of the Driver fans.

I could've sworn that we were supposed to get the announcement of the next-gen Driver game in March of 2008 (which is now). And March of 2008 is almost over. I hope they announce at least something about the game with the following before April:

*Where the game will take place
*What systems it will be available on
*The expected release date

I remember the announcement for D:PL was a little something like that back in May of 2005.

I hope so by the end of spring an announcement is made. Otherwise, it's looking like the game won't be ready till late 2009 or 2010. Usually, an announcement for the consoles is made when there's a year or less to go till release...

Anyways, on topic, I'm suprised Ubisoft hasn't given us any info yet. Then again, they might not have enough info to make an announcement yet. Whatever the answer, I want some info!

they could at least say when they suspect it will be ready.

maybe they want the GTA hype to die down
afterall if they aint confident DrIVer is more entertaining than GTAIV, then they'll be better of leaving it until the hype has died down or else people could think the game is so boring compared to GTA that they would'nt play it, and that would just kill the fan base for when the sequel after of Driver is released

So UBI if you are reading this then remember we can tell if your game is good by the timing you release some news about DrIVer, if you release some news now then we know it'll be a GREAT Game and i wont need to think twice before buying it, but if you leave it until the GTA Hype has died down then i will have to think twice about buying it, and yet i might not buy it

Driver-Dimension is now saying that Ubisoft might announce the next Driver game on May 28, 2008 (the date of "Ubidays"). Let's hope that the announcement gives us information that will make us happy!

May 28th, 2008? I hope so. It's been LONG overdue for Reflections and Ubisoft to make an announcement as to the existence and title of the next Driver game. Us diehard fans need some news after 2 years of waiting since DPL hit stores.

Please make the announcement Ubisoft. But instead of May 28th, make it April 28th, the day before GTA4 hits, to show you're extremely confident in Reflections' best Driver EVER. Get some hype going early on.

Actually, May 28th would be a better day to make the big Driver 4 announcement, as it gives GTA4 fans time to cool down a fraction after playing the heck out of GTA4.

Do I want Driver 4 to have everything GTA4 has only better? No. If that were the case, Reflections would have to call the game "GTA4 Deluxe Version". Just the BEST Reflections and Ubisoft can crank out for Driver 4. And it better be "the best driving game I ever played" "BEST". Wipe out the competition with this one Reflections (In other words aim very high).
