I was wondering what happened to the Driver topics about the Driver franchise because they were in this forum before and now they're gone. Could anyone, a mod or admin, or anyone else please let me know what happened?

Looks like they deleted it, this is my first post.. again. Maybe they're holding them until the real forum is open. My sig has changed a bit too.

Well ubisoft is really giving the red carpet treatment to it's new Driver fans aren't they?
I've never felt so welcome anywhere in my life! *employing matt jon's sarcastic technique* Seriously though, it's just as well in my opinion. This website's been down more than it's been up in the past month. The new rule on avatar and signatures really bites too. Maybe once a new Driver game is released, Neoseeker will be a better place to hang out. Neo was rocking during the hay days of DRIV3R, and they're much better at keeping their website up and running. This sucks. After we spent all those posts and topics on putting it together for Driver and look how Ubisoft repays us with it, taking away those threads, posts, and even sigs and avatars of ours. What a very nice job you are doing, Ubisoft. (*sarcasm*) I hope that Reflections won't act in such a way with any of its future Driver games and that they give us exactly what we need and what the Driver franchise needs.
As for going to hang at Neoseeker, you know, Korteck, that wouldn't sound like a bad idea at all, especially since this place is nothing but trash and there is no discussions on the Driver franchise to be found. Just what is the url for the website? |

Yeah I know Assaultmachine1. This is just a case of someone on the ubisoft staff having their head stuck up their a__ and not thinking ahead.
It would have been no problem to have had a Driver forum already set up and ready to go the very day Atari closed theirs. Even if there's some snags going on in the transfer of the franchise, it wouldn't have hurt ubisoft to pander to a whole new customer base. It would have been good advertisement for ubisoft itself. Here's the URL for Neoseeker's Driver: Parallel Lines forum. It's pretty dead at the moment, but that's just because the game itself was so bad. http://www.neoseeker.com/forums/index.php?fn=browse_forum&f=24879 There are at least a few more guys at the neoseeker DPL forum than here at ubisoft right now. I probably won't visit here again... unless and until a Driver forum is established that really takes off. See you guys at neo maybe. This message has been edited. I hope that Ubisoft gets to the Driver franchise really soon because keeping us busy without any confirmation of what's going on is a bad idea. Why is it that the Driver franchise has been so held up and hardly ever discussed, especially when it comes to announcements or of anything else further about the games as opposed to a lot of today's video games, which are doing well on this very subject for the most matter.
I hope that with Driver 4, it will be a success that Reflections reaches and that the Driver franchise never has to be put through as much bad processes as it is with D2, D3, and DPL. The things that I want to see from Reflections is for them to put together the best concepts for the next Driver game with both of the fans' and their own ideas as well as leaving the next one with a hype, which could attract many new and familiar Driver fans to actually pick up that game. The Driver franchise can't only be great, but it also has to do commercially well too. |

You know, KORTECK has a great idea. Neoseeker never have such problems, unless of course it has a mod. But the only have moderators for forums that are busy enough that needs one. I have several different accounts on Neoseeker. it was the first sit I ever registered for. And it's easy to do!
So if you guys want a place to chat about Driver with no hassle, the DPL forum on neoseeker, would be a good start. EDIT: Ah s___! they got rid of my avatar and banner to? That is f___ed up! Life is like a road. |

Hellooo fellas.
You MISSED an important POST on these FORUMS! Major Forum Crash It said the following:

That should answer you question Assault.
Anyways, yeah, I haven't been on for awhile, so I don't what everyone was talking too much about. Someone mind enlightening me? It took me to see the PSP game for me to return. |
|||
|
Yes, it does answer my question and I would like to join discussing the Driver franchise over at Neoseeker instead of doing it here right now since there is no way of posting about it when the forums for it hasn't been set up yet. Lets all just leave and come back here when the forums of the Driver franchise has been setup.
Well there were two other topics, which one, was about the D4 wishlist and the second one, was about seeing a totally new game of DPL or the same one. Nothing much happened around that time though, so it was kind of a smart thing to not be posting much around that time. Well, I'm going to register over at Neoseeker's forums now and discuss the Driver series there for until we see a Driver franchise forums on Ubisoft. |
||||
|
I'm not too worried about it, its not like we had a fully established forum going and gone the next day. As for the wishlist, I really could care less whoever takes over from here on out. So its up in the air, if Mr. Tanner wants it back.

Recently I thought about working on a Driver Wishlists website, on atari forums it's been in my sig for awhile but havent done much on the website.
Basicly if anyones interested it a better way of submitting idea's and wish's the only thing is that it isn't all that official and Reflections might not notice it, however I'm pretty sure they would. I just might ask, anyone interested in a Wishlist Website designed for making wishes. Of course it works very different compared to a forum. Someone submits an idea, other can rate and comment on it. You could call it a bit of a forum, but really it isn't, maybe you'll just have to wait till i've finished it. Or maybe you can make a small wishlist for the wishlist site Anyways currently a few members of the Atari Community have joined the community on my site, so maybe you can give it a shot until UBISOFT get enough time to upgrade there forums and put in a Driver cagegory. So really, if you want to join up here Also there being no atari forums may have left you out of date in the Driver News, there has been lots of it latly so maybe you could check out the newsPortal |

So, I guess we will have to suffer the "Great Depression" on the forums for a little while. I'm hoping that we get a Driver forum soon.
Well thank you. "New York is the coolest place in the world! From Connecticut and Long Island to New Jersey, from the Hudson Valley down to Staten Island, and all points in between, this is my backyard."-Driverman2006 |

Well it's too pointless to go and make a Driver topic around this time when there is no Driver forums for it to go in and secondly, what if our posts and those threads that we make get deleted again, so how about if we just hang out over at the Neoseeker forums for now and discuss the next Driver game there? I've joined and I'm doing it now. There's not very much discussion to get out of the Driver series over here anyways as we aren't even on very frequently each day to discuss the Driver series as we were when the Driver forums was open at the Atari Forums.
You can choose to stay here and expect very little if you want, but I'm staying over there for now. |

Driver Madness forums are starting to pick up and seem to be a lot more active nowdays, so maybe you could join us there, until ubisoft pick up and put up a driver forum.
Click here to take a look around our forums, and if you think it's pretty active join and help us get even more active |

What a great job ubi soft is doing so far
Jake "never rode shotgun in a hearse" |
||||

Yeh, there doing a great job... Just not in the forums department, lol...
Anyways it's great to finally see a PC, PSP and a Wii release of DRIVER: Parallel Lines and with the PSP version defaintly having multiplayer and 27 new missions |
||||
|
I just don't see what they're trying to do with these rereleases, other than raising money obviously, but it seems like development costs (although the game is basically completed) will outweigh sales, its not a game that, when people hear the name, say they must have it.

they just about have to totally redevelop the psp release however, they are porting the ps2 version, but there adding a entire lot more to the game, even multiplayer which was taken out of the PS2 version.
Lets hope they now put multiplayer in the pc release. and ubisoft did purchase teh series for 19million euros and I guess they wanna make all that money back so then they can spend a whole heap on creating Driver: 5. |
||||
|
That sounds very reasonable to me, driver_madness. Perhaps they are remaking DPL for more money before they can actually get Reflections to work on D5. I just hope that it turns out better because if it doesn't, I don't see at all as to how it could be any help for them.
Now are we going to discuss the Driver series at the Neoseeker forums, the Driver Madness forums, or will it be over here, which is pretty much dead right now? |
